The Research Services Support Unit (RSSU) was initially established in 2018 and strengthened to offer best-practice through the NIH BRAD Award G11HD088121 supported by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Of Child Health & Human Development (NICHD) Fogarty International Center (FIC). The unit’s pre- and post-award support activities have progressively transitioned to support provided through direct LOE funding recouped through F&A from the grants hosted in the unit. The RSSU directly reports to the institutional central Office of Research & Innovation. The RSSU provides research administration support for AU faculty, staff and students; its sister units within the CRC [Lifestyle and Prevention Medicine Unit (LPMU) and Clinical Trials Unit (CTU)] and external stakeholders/experts/clinicians interested in working with AU as CRC Research Associates.
